UTSAV '07 winning script!
I forgot the title i gave at the competition...Anyways, we were given 2 sets of 3 photos each and asked to draw a line of link between the 3 photos in either set..I chose the set in which the first photo was of an old dirty park bench in a forest with two logs on either side, and a house in the background.The second photo was of an african kid in a barren land.And the third was of a total concrete destruction and the silhoutte of a lone man in the middle.Here it goes-

What have I done!
Oh,where'd I go wrong
Nightmare I've borne
From dream so shine strong!
To make a peace chair
I cut just one tree
Then slayed a couple more
To strech them legs free
The winter did come
And the rain did pour down;
I shaved the land fine
And raised a home brown...
Content I wasn't
Just one floor a home
Barrened an else land
And MY dream did shone!
Human as I was
Pity I felt for pain,
Shot the kid in Africa
Who knew never 'bout rain.
Foolish, as I was
Didn't see the line of link
The rain giver of Africa
Was beside my kitchen sink!
Content I wasn't
Just one home to live,
Built a mutli-storey
To all nation's glory!
As built a forest of bricks,
Greed was born from dream
I stood a smiling 'man',
As concrete replaced green
Pride turned to envy
And I killed all them men
I was the Lord, yes I was the One
Amen, Amen, AMEN!
Too much in haste
I hammered my leg
Crushed my own roots
But to differ I did beg.
Now in all the dust
And no one to else to die
I see my white self
In the dark kid's tearless eye.
What have I done!

To solve it all now
Remorse I feel,
To the kid I should bow!

Man.Deforestation.Destruction. What starts out as a peaceful dream slowly turns to increasing 'needs' and then goes on to become harrowing greed. When nothing is left but a concrete rubble, the vision of himself clicking the photo of the African kid whose misery he is responsible for, comes gushing into the head. Like a mad man set loose, he sets out to try and solve all the tangles he set into motion leading to destruction of everything.

and u r no longer ragin in red. change it to "COMMANDING IN BLACK" or soemthing like tat.
oh hey you didn't get my idea of raging in red with a black background i guess....maybe no one got it...it's supposed to signify black blood...

i have already given my comments on this piece. its amazing and i love the way you combined the three pics into one story! the best one til date! expecting many more to come...:)
